A day of rain promised so we decided to stay over and do a few jobs.
I have been threatening for a while to put a diversion into our water system to allow for free central heating whilst we are on the move, and today is that day. I must admit I was lacking in the courage to start the job as getting it wrong could cause some major problems, but hey. I began by laying out all the pieces I would need and trial fitting them together before going into the engine bay and cutting into our water pipes armed only with a bucket and a knife. Pipes cut, there was now no going back, the job had to be done and finished before we could move again. As it happens the job went well (with a little help and encouragement from John) and it wasn't long before we had the system primed with water and started the engine. However not before I had to change the polarity of the wiring to get the pump to run and circulate the water. SUCCESS it works, well at least the water pumps around, we will have to see if it heats the water whilst on a run.
On board Acen with John and Jo having tea and conversation.
