Thursday 4th August

Today Autumn Years and Acen were heading for the Cromwell Lock on the Trent, and moved up to the lock ready for 10.30 as requested, although the tide did not turn until around 11.30.

With the lock gates open they moved in with four other boats, as we called our goodbyes.

Bottom lock gates opened with a flooding tide and off they went.

Back at the boat Sally and I had a bit of a change around in the lounge, turning our couches into an L shape to allow for more room at the table (great fun). Once done it was time to sit down and relax as the rain fell heavily outside.
