Wednesday 3rd August

With a good hot day in the offering we decided to stay put in Torksey at the visitors moorings. I got out the paint brushes and paints and did the sliding hatch as I had been promising for ages.

Sally took Socks for a walk and we were invited for coffee with John and Jo, and it turned out to be the longest cup of coffee ever.

The dogs Socks, Darsey and Purdey had a great time running and playing together on the raised tow path, and it was here that Socks found his first love. He seemed besotted by Darsey and seemed never to leave her side, when she went in the boat he stood and watched, even giving a little wine as if to say "don't leave me". (poor old Socks was in love).

At around 14.30, Graham and Carolann arrived on Autumn Years and joined in the fun with Conner and Evan their Grandsons. More chat, more wine, even a little whiskey and at 16.30 it was time to stagger back to our boat (well someone did, didn't they Sally).

A great day and thanks guys.
