Tattershall to Bardney

With nice bright sunny weather, although a bit windy, we set off for Bardney. The weed from the previous day was still there, only this time it seemed to be all duck weed which sat mainly on the surface and caused us no problems with fouling the prop. Leaving at 10.20 on a still green river we made good way.

Reaching Woodhall Spa where we now had a clear channel of water, where progress became a lot more enjoyable for both Sally and I. The wind kept getting stronger during the day which brought the temperature down a bit, so it was time for jackets.

Passing an old railway station, where the owners had transformed the old signal box into a light and airy sun lounge. Pressing on we soon arrived at the Bardney lock which we negotiated, then moored up on the visitors pontoon moorings at 13.30.
