The river was like this for the best part of the journey, only giving short clear spaces between the weed and of course our speed was much reduced as we navigated between the thick mass of weed.
But we did make it and arrived at the pontoon moorings at 12.50 and secured the boat for the evening. It was now time for a little fishing as I had seen a fair sized Perch swim under the boat, alas no Perch but I did get a nice Roach and a large Eel.
My thanks go now to Peter's brother in law Bob Burlison for his tip on using newspaper to hold eels in order to De hook them. Well Bob it works, hook retrieved and thanks.
