Wednesday 7th September

After the adrenalin of yesterday and todays wind and rain we decided to sit it out on the pontoon. Sally did some baking and made bread and cakes which I might add are yummy.

The weather lasted all day so in the main we read and let the day drift by, what a life hey? Later in the day we went for a walk around the lock and the wier and saw the spot where there used to be a Roman bridge that crossed at the lock. There was also a memorial to the 10 Royal engineers who lost their lives while on exersise in September 1975 at Cromell.
