We pulled away from the pontoon at Tattershall at 11.00 in brilliant sunshine and doing our final leg into Boston. Once again there was a shortage of scenery but no shortage of weed, the duck weed was massed in places with matted weed hanging underneath. In such places the engine revs would drop as the weed wrapped itself around the prop.
On the straight sections we had to twist and turn so as to avoid the islands of weed all the way to Langrick Bridge, were it seemed to dissipate the rest of the way into Boston.
At the bridge we came across the Environment agency weed cutters who were bust clearing as much as they could, pushing it to the side of the banks.
The last couple of miles were very pleasant being weed free, and soon found a mooring where we pulled in for our stay in Boston, as while here we will be partying in Hampshire and celebrating my Mothers birthday and spending time with her.
