5th May 2012

With loosing the internet I have forgotton to update some of our days, so here goes.

Sunday past we did get to see my Mum, as my cousin Terry brought her down to see us and we met at the pub in Ashton "Checkered Skipper". We had many a cup of tea and a great meal, which my Mum paid for "Thanks Mum", she also brought us a 10ltr water container with a tap which we are able to fill in the village for drinking water, not forgetting it arrived full of filtered water.

They stayed till around 5pm before setting off back home, they also brought us our mail from home which included our upgraded Gold licence and our GOBA registration.

3rd May, another cold wet day and after getting up I just could not get warm and was sent straight back to bed (Sally does look after me). Anyway the phone went and it was Roy the EA guy who had arrived with a fresh supply of water, and Sally arranged to meet him and help carrying it back. When she left I just could not stay in bed and let her carry the heavy bottles, so I got dressed and went to help her. He brought us about 70 to 80 ltrs and had a coffee with us before setting off to collect another bag of coal ( we cant praise him enough) he is a very helpfull guy.

4th May. As it seemed a bit dryer we had a walk into Oundle for a few bits, had chips on a bench in the town and then went for a coffee. Now as it was Gypsy's birthday we had to go into a pet shop and get her a little somthing, which ended up being a pair of string mice with feathery tails.
Socks did manage to get one and totally destroy it ( the little git).

I am sorry therer isnt a lot in the blog at the moment, but I guess thats because we are still in the same place. One bit of news is that Sally gave me a trauncing at Scrabble last night, I think she must have devoured the dictionary, but never fear I will thrash her next time, cant let the men down can I.
We have also had some great comms with our friends John and Joan, John and Jo and Alex and Hillary, also some e-mail updates from Carolann and Graham, Alex and Hillary and Michael and John, its great to have friends, so to all of you be happy, keep dry and we shall see you all soon.
