A rest day

I can not say that we were up with the Lark this morning, because we were not. I think yesterdays 17 locks were a bit too much for us so we enjoyed a lay in, with the sun beaming in through the window (all is at peace).

After breakfast it was time for a little light duties, and I tided the front locker and swept the chimney, as last night we were getting blow backs, with smoke coming into the boat. (None of that tonight, thank goodness). Later this afternoon we took a trip to Morrisons for a few groceries, oh yes we have to say at this point, thank you to you all who gave us Supermarket gift cards as wedding presents, we certainly will not starve.

This evening an old friend (only 36 years old)Stuart came to visit with his daughters Rachel and Rebbecca, and spent a couple of hours catching up with all the gossip and news. Our plan is to meet up again in the next couple of weeks and have a cruise with them on the river.

It was a great visit and as you can see from the picture, Sock's certainly enjoyed himself, here he is trying to get Rachel's socks off. (to you Spurs supporters, sorry about the Chelsea shirt) they are all mad on the team, never mind Stuart you cant help it and somebody has to, don't they.
