Taking a break

I am taking a break from from decorating to update the blog, and let you know just how excited Sally and I are about our Wedding plans.
First of all we have both been very busy these last few weeks, decorating right through the bungalow, room by room. With the loss of Pam four years back, the place took a back seat, and then of course Sally and I bought our dream, the narrow boat, and we devoted all of our time to that. However this winter we are biting the bullet and making the bungalow OUR home, which in itself is very exciting, all be it a lot of hard work. The new carpets have been ordered and are being fitted on the 15th and 16th of December so I have a deadline to work to. New bays have been fitted, new wardrobes ordered, my workshop has been treated to a fresh coat of creosote, the hall, second bedroom are finished. leaving me to complete the lounge, our bedroom and of course the kitchen and all before mid December.

We are so excited about the Wedding as everything (well most everything) is organised, and the invitations are now coming back for our big day. Of course we have family coming, but one of the most exciting things is that the new friends we have made whilst boating over the last two years are coming as well and we feel blessed. Music choices are coming as well which will make for a great after meal party, especially as the music being played will be to every ones liking (oh yes, the DJ has been told not to have it too loud, only when we are all up doing our stuff.

Socks, bless him has been to the vets and has been castrated, and whilst there he caught Kennel cough, so he has not had a great time of it. having said that he is on the mend and seems a very happy little dog.

We have also been back to the boat and fitted our new Pullman dinning table which I made in the workshop, also fitted doors to the port and starboard cupboards to hide the shoes and coats. (busy boy).

Well its time to get on again, no rest for the wicked.
