The weekend party

We arrived in Cove, Hampshire on Friday afternoon after a long drive in hot weather and a slow drive around the M25 from the A1 to the M3, but all worth it. Friday evening was a quiet affair with Peter and Pamela (our hosts), Bob and Mary (Pamela's sister), Chris (our hosts son) and of course Sally and myself.
Saturday, the day of the party started with a few last minute jobs of setting up and making the salads before the rest of the guests arrived. Just as the Ba B Q was lit the rain decided to fall but did not dampen spirits and it was not too long before blue skies appeared and the sun came out. The food was in plentiful supply and everyone had a good fill of both food and drink as the day ticked enjoyably by, and including children there were 31 of of us all enjoying each others company.
On the Sunday, most of the guests had gone home which left 10 of us to have a relaxing day and a fantastic roast lunch, however Sally decided to go down with a bug and spent most of the day either in the bathroom of in bed.
We left at around 11.30 today to make our way home and rescue my Mother from babysitting Socks and Gypsy arriving at 14.20 to a welcome cup of tea.

Finally a heart felt thanks to Peter and Pamela for all of their hard WORK and a brilliant weekend, and to my Mother for house sitting.
